Need some help figuring this out, after storage for winter pulled car out and as soon as I got over 10mph
Active Handling and ABS error message came up Codes were c1233 and c1283 checked r/f wheel bearing
and with scanner it does give out speed output same as others so not sure where the issue might be
I thought my scanner would let me check steering angle but no go. Thinking possible steering angle
sensor although not sure why after storage. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
By the way 2004 C5 Z06

Reason: finally diagnosed
Take the Jumper harness off and inspect the female pins in the jumper harness and the connector on the frame for spread female pins. You can use a volt meter set on the AC volt scale and measure the output of the sensor. The faster you spin the wheel, the more AC voltage you should see. The voltage is low so you will need to use a lower voltage scale on the meter.
I do a Pin PUSH PULL TEST to insure that the male and female oins are making proper contact! DO NOT use dielectric grease in the connectors.
Finally diagnosed and repaired just in case someone else has same issue
had to replace EBCM with used one, the C1233 code is not repairable so
you have to replace had I known this a few years ago it could have saved
me a lot of time money and grief.
