Default IPC digital display intermittent

About a week ago I was driving and my digital display portion on my IPC went blank. About a day later it came back and worked for a day or two, then went out again for 3 days. It came back again this morning. All gauges and HUD have worked during this time. Additionally, it is still racking up miles and even when blank pushing one of the buttons causes it to be on a different display when it comes back. So it seems to me it is just a powering of the LEDs. I did check the fuses and power on 19 and 25. I figured they would be good as that powers the entire IPC, so if they were bad nothing would work.

So I say all this to ask if there is a ribbon wire that can come loose that powers the LEDs or is it part of the board assembly and will possibly need the solder runs redone. Trying to understand what I will be looking at when I take it out to fix it.

Thanks in advance, and a picture of what I'm talking about just cause.

Still looking for some insight if anyone has it...

The IPC DIC Display is a vacuum florescent tube display. If I remember correctly, its soldered into the cluster main mother board. The entire cluster can be disassembled (into parts) and you can inspect ALL the little connections that the display tube has and if there soldered to the board properly. Some module assemblies use sockets to attach parts. Disassemble/clean all connections. Remove the mother /main board. Use a powerful magnifying glass and a bright light and inspect each solder joint. Look for cracks/loose joints. Resolder as needed.

thank you so much for this. Now I know I have to take it to work and use our mini comp equipment to inspect. Much appreciated!
