I had a "Service Column Lock" message so installed a Column Lock Bypass. Pretty straightforward process, and following installation the message went away. 4 days later, it's back.
What's next to troubleshoot? Could the CLB have failed? Is there a way to test it?
I'd start with an email to tech support for whatever bypass you used.
They will probably want something more specific than 'message came back'. Any FAQs at their website?
Talking with Richard at Compliance Parts, the two common causes for this are a low battery or leaving your key in the ignition after the BCM goes to sleep.
The battery is strong, but I do sometimes turn off the car and leave the key in - so I'm going to reset it again by removing the negative battery terminal for 2 minutes and NOT leaving the key in the ignition after turning off the car. We'll see what happens.
