I have a similar one. It was ~$50. I wanted to try one out before I spent the $$ on a more expensive unit. It was actually pretty nice. The machine work on it was nice. It did also shortened up the shifts. The only downside to it I did not like was that it has some axial rotation. It was probably a couple of degrees. Not a whole bunch but its there.

That's good to know tho. I'd better try it for such price and be aware about that downside you mentioned. Thanks for sharing the experience with it!

Me too but not in this car. Sometimes I got good stuff and sometimes really bad stuff. For that price I could give it a chance and see how it works. Otherwise I'll lose 54 bucks lol
I ran the similar design high quality TMOD Customs shifter for a short while — with no isolator on the shift shaft, I found the shifter howled more than a little as I accelerated. I would anticipate this one to make a lot of noise.
I've been running this for a couple years now. It did have axial Play that was mentioned here in the thread. I tightened it up with some thin metal tubing and lubed it up. I enjoy the shifter. Definitely more effort to ****. I used a weighted shift know and is much nicer feeling.

Good to know that!! Could you show what did you do to avoid that axial play and that weighted shift???

Unfortunately I don't have any good photos, but if you take the 4 allen head screws and remove the top plate you will see a couple springs and a shaft that pushes against them. The base is machined slightly larger, you will feel and see that play, like if you took the shift **** and turn it like you would open a jar. It's small but annoying to some. I just happened to have the perfect diameter of some of steel fuel line and cut small pieces and use it like a sleeve to take up the gap. You would have to measure your own and try to find some. I also needed to adjust the preload on the springs to get it to feel perfect for the left to right motion, but I think I have seen that on name brand shifters. For me, this is perfect, feels like a gated shifter. The weighted **** doesn't make it easier to shift, just softens the feel. Amazon had these for like 30 bucks. 400g ball.
If your handy and willing to make it just right, its worth $50.

Well thank you so much for this mate. I'll definitely buy it and follow your suggestions. Will take some time to get home (around 3weeks). I'll ask you a couple of things once I have it here and to install it...if you don't mind!
IMHO, a PROPERLY ADJUSTED, OE shifter, works pretty well............
Works well, yes. Pretty poor quality compared to most of the aftermarket options, IMO. It's quite sloppy. And it's not a short shifter which is the purpose of this thread.
