I started getting this message a couple of years ago. My 2004 Z06 Commemorative has 131,000 miles on it now. Still like new. However Chevrolet did remove the steering wheel lock on a "recall" years ago. Now to the "10 second message": I defeat it by turning the key ON for about 2 seconds,BUT Before the Warning Displays, then removing the key. I reinsert the key after I remove it and start the car with no problems, after doing that. The engine will run with the Warning ON, BUT it will shut off if you try to drive the car without waiting the 10 seconds. Best Regards, and this solution doesn't cost anything $
Note that over 20% of the reviews to the item you posted say it doesn't work and the seller was unresponsive. So apparently neither solution is great.
I've heard the exact same thing about the CLB. Doesn't always solve the problem.
I've had the harness replaced twice also. The only thing that I noticed is it happened both times when the battery was weak. Make sure you keep a good fresh battery in there and always use a battery tender or automatic charger. Good luck!
