I've got a bone stock 2002 Vette, 5.7 litre. It's got just over 50,000 km. I have no history on the car. I bought it at a used car lot (it was mint, I couldn't walk away after I laid my eyes on it) At what interval would you replace the PCV valve?
Thanks in advance.
I can't see any reason to replace it if it still has a healthy rattle.
To be on the safe side, yeah, I'd check to see if yours "rattles". As previously mentioned, be careful in handling the hoses, then just spray a small bit of throttle body cleaner into it, let it dry, and you'll be good to go. I'm the original owner of my C-5 (2001), and have a little over 30,000 miles on it. I've removed the PCV valve twice, and hit it with a shot of TB cleaner, both times. It still rattles just fine.

Thanks. That's the kind of feedback I hoped to hear.
They meter. Rattle means they rattle that's all . One sure way to tell is leaking front or rear main seal. I change mine out @$5.
I just checked that the PCV hose has vacuum. This was between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. That should mean that the PCV valve not only rattles but is also breathing. While testing for vacuum, the motor runs rough and smooths out as soon as I reconnect the hose.
Looks like it's working like it should. I'm adding a vacuum check to the rattle test.
