Rev hang with a/c on?

Looking into potential reasons I’m getting really significant rev hang and little engine braking only when a/c is on. My buddy figures it could be an idle air control valve issue but I’m just curious if this is common at all or something y’all have discussed?

There is no IAC valve on the C5. So you can rule that out.

I’m betting there is a trouble shooting guide in the service manual for just this symptom. If no one else posts it up this morning, I’ll see if I can find it this afternoon.
