Cooling Fans
I'm new to the C5 .. 1st Corvette &1st Chevy.. The miles that I have put on the car have been with the A/C on .. Temp indicates around 195 on the freeway or in traffic .. Which would indicate to me the fans are operating properly .. Yesterday morning OAT was around 80 so I ran with the A/C off and the temp shot up to 215 as soon as I got into a little traffic .. I turned the A/C on and it cooled right down ... My question is ... What temp should the fans kick in ? 215 seemed high and I didn't want to see how much higher it would go to see if the fans kick in .. Like I said I'm new to this car and don't want to break it before I learn to have fun with it..

Congrats on the new Corvette and your operations are totally normal. As you noted, the AC turns fans on immediately while "normal operations" the fans come on much higher first at 226 then the second at 235.
This "feels" high but it is normal as these cars tend to run pretty hot.

Your cars cooling system temperatures are normal, both fans come on at low speed at the lower temperature set point, then both fans go into high speed mode when the upper temperature set point is reached.
