I was wondering of the 11 Modules in the C5, which one controls the ABS system ? and can I get one of them re-flashed ?
Been talking to Walt and he’s still trying to figure out what’s going on with your car !!…he swapped sensor from right to left and done wiring checks…he thinks it may be a bad EBCM.
Yeah he is doing the best he can, I think I need to send this second one out to be checked once I get the car back. I never thought a ABS light would be this complicated and expensive, but I appreciate everything he's doing !, this is just not turning out well. I bought this current EBCM from Automotive Scientific, and I'm losing faith in them by the minute, I didn't send them my core so they said without a core the 2 year warranty is no more. Even Debbie called them trying to figure out how a return core affects a warranty on their product ? and I called and I can tell, as belligerent as he was, no matter what I ask for the answer is NO ! $1574.99 Gone !
Yeah this is a "Problem Sinkhole" with the C5. Even if it is working now, in a week or a year it could go out on you and your back in this problem sinkhole again. I'm invested so much now, I'm going to pull mine and send it APSFixer.com and for the price, find out if mine is good or bad ! I just don't like having give up on the Traction Control and the active handling. My car only has 10K miles on it.
Well he did a tremendous job and reconfigured it so the left side was the only side plugged into the EBCM, so it's not the wiring. And it went right back to the C1233 RF speed sensor, so the EBCM I bought is junk, I got it from Automotive Scientific, but their not going to honor the 2 year warranty I bought as well in April from them and even Debbie tried to figure out why a missing core, deletes a warranty on their own EBCM ? A core is not what I bought from them, She and I am confused, but . . . . So now I need to figure out where the hell I can get a 2003 EBCM. I don't think I can even use the current one installed on the car as it itself has been opened and worked on. Most of these Module Repair companies won't work on anything that has been bought from any other company, so I'm kind of lost here looking for a good unit. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.
Does anyone have the part # for the EBCM for a 2003 base corvette, these are very hard to find !
I have a similar situation. ABS fixer just returned my ebcm stating it was irreparable. I’m working on finding a replacement part and would appreciate any feedback on your progress in locating one, thx.

ABSfixor does not deserve all the praise they get here on the forum. Sure they can fix a 1214 code but, so can everybody else. I had a 1243 code and ABSfuxor wouldn't touch it so I checked around on ebay and found someone that could. Moral of the story don't believe everything you read here, do your own research...
I can't find in my owners manual of the poor substitution I have for a 2003 Service manual, what fuse or circuit powers the 'visor lights' Both sides of mine are unlit ?
G7 Computers ??? EBCM Fixed Repair cost of $225 and good reviews on this forum. I am having C1243 intermittent problems but I kind of remember that pre-2000 EBCM modules were a bigger problem than post-2000.

I found one and this one comes with a 'Lifetime' warranty, it comes from Mercer Corvette. But it takes a 3 week lead time so they can get a rebuilt unit out the door. This is one of those "Frustrating parts" since you don't get to pick from new or rebuilt, and while I'm very happy to even find one, the price is steep and the part controls so many different systems, Active handling and traction control are the two I really don't want to give up just because the EBCM is dead. While we're in the electrical rollercoaster of electronics, are the fuses in a C5 all the same or are some of them 'Micro-fuses' ? I need to head over to Autozone for some either way ?
