Engine mount brackets
Hey Guys,
Somethings strange that I'm dealing with, I am currently finishing putting the last couple of accessories on my LS2 406 stroker short block for my 99 FRC and went to install my engine mount brackets. Installed the left side bracket and then the right side, only to find that the right side isn't fitting. I was understanding that there aren't any external differences between a LS1 and LS2 block, I'm really scratching my head on this, and I don't want to start modifying something that supposed to directly bolt on. Any explanations or clarifications on this are greatly appreciated !!

Today I visited the guy whom I gave my LS1 block to and saw that there is a additonal side boss casting that prevents the right engine mount from working. Anyone doing a LS2 swap be advised that you will have to grind either the boss or the engine mount for fitment. Those sneaky GM guys !!
