Default Tpms

Hi. I have a 2001. Owned since 03. I had the left front sensor stop recording. I replaced it. It absolutely will not program. I actually bought two and tried to program the extra outside the tire. Nothing. The only code is for that sensor. They were bought from Corvette Central. Any ideas before it goes to the dealer.

What part number is on the sensor?
It sounds like CC sent you the wrong part.

I have the magnet used for programing. I will have to check the part #. They are Dorman, I believe.

The dorman website does say magnetic activation so I'm not sure why you couldn't activate yours...

If you run out of options I can share the TPMS I found success with

I double checked the part #. It's correct. The sensor that came out was an unknown name to me. It programmed easy and the other 3 still work. What module do the work through?

This is not for my car. I have the magnet needed. It will not program. And it's on the left front where you start.

You need to be complaining to the vendor you bought them from and let them help you, or ask for your money back.

If you get your money back (or not) and want to fix your issue post back and I can recommend a set of sensors that will work with a TPMS trigger tool (and not a magnet).

My guess here is the Dorman sensors you were sold cannot be magnetically activated. Most available currently cannot be magnetically triggered. But since you bought them from CC you should take that up with them first.

I have 4 Dorman sensors that were installed about 5 years ago, and 1 failed about a year ago.
This past spring I bought a new one from the same vendor (Tire Rack), and my local tire dealer said they no longer have a programmer for that brand.
I had it installed by another tire dealer, and they could not get it programmed.
I tried it with my magnet, and the other 3 sensors all recognized the magnet, but that one (LR sensor) would not.
I ended up taking it to the local Chevy dealer, who programmed it (for $150!) and it worked fine for about 6 months..

Driving last Sat. and about 45 minutes down the road, the TPMS Service message comes on.
All 4 sensors are reading XXX.
Get home, and check codes. All 4 sensors are "belly up".
No other codes, and the FOB works, so can't be the RFA transmitter (so I reason).

Any ideas, other than take it back to the dealer (for a true reaming)???

This is on my 03 Vette.
