I would be worried about my mechanic if I heard that.

Thank you very much. I saw this on you tube and it looks like it should be fairly simple seeing that I am not removing the radiator. My mechanic seemed to be a little worried because he thinks Its dificult to remove the air filter and other air related parts.I am just going to show him this video.

Why did you purchase this? The OEM fans work very well.

OEM fans are better than most aftermarket fans. I was asked by an engine builder at Thomson Automotive what fans I was running. When I said stock OEM, he said "Good, they're better than most setups I've seen guys use." I suspect the DeWitts fans are better than stock, but don't know if they're actually needed.....

Agreed, I've never had a problem with the last C5s I owned while auto crossing, HPDE, and street driving in over 100 deg. F with the AC on in stop and go traffic.

Agreed, I've never had a problem with the last three C5s I owned while auto crossing, HPDE, or street driving in over 100 deg. F with the AC on in stop and go traffic.

I have 13000 miles on this car 2002 zo6 all of a sudden the fan that goes on when the air goes on made a very loud thrashing sound .I believe that fan is no good.I have had 2 c5 s here in Phoenix and if your not cruising they run asmuch as 220-230

Correct, the high speed fan doesn’t come on until 236 degrees, so you can expect coolant temps to get that high when it is very hot out

I agree, but fans can be programmed to activate at lower temps than 236°!
