Met a new C5 owner last night at our Corvette club meeting; he's got a '99 FRC that's a "project" car. Car's been modified to some extent (I only got to check it out in the dark), clutch feels much stiffer than my OE '00 FRC, sounds and smells like cats have been deleted, and I'm sure some other stuff.
#1 problem: the car windows don't seem to be getting power. Door locks and mirror controls work, and he lowered the windows by directly applying power to the motor. So, window motors and regulators are good. I *assume* that he checked the passenger side controls as well before going to the trouble to take off the interior panel to lower the window.
Honestly, I've only done a superficial skim of threads and haven't found anything like this. Door harness connector next thing to check?
As we dig through his baby I'll be back with more things to solve.
The door harness connectors would be a good starting point, the electrical contacts inside the connectors tend to become loose after many years of door operation.
