01' coupe drive train noises
Purchased the car early this year and have been loving it. It's a 6MT, 58k miles and is all mostly original, so I'll need to do some maintenance. Original harmonic balancer is wobbling a bit so will need to change it. I also have Amsoil for the trans and diff, just need the time to do it. I'm betting it's got the original fluids still in it.
On to my questions about the drivetrain noises.
#1. Happens when momentum shifts, like starting from a stop or coming off throttle to a lesser extent. Sounds like some little metallic clicks that happen quickly then go away. Does not seem to correlate with clutch actuation. Maybe a torque tube related issue?
#2. When taking sharp turns at slow speeds, especially left, I hear a metallic shifting/grinding sound that goes away after straightening out. Wondering if just old diff fluid or possibly the axle popping issue?
Appreciate any advice, thanks!
