You may need to call a locksmith. Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Check the Solenoid and see if it is working properly . You will need to pull the door panel but it is easy to see what is working or not.
GM solenoids are famous for failing only locking and not unlocking.
I assume it will unlock manually if you use the lock on the handle?

On both the drivers door and the passenger's door? If only one, it may be the switch.

90% chance that the door control module for the passenger door has a failed relay in it. This is the most common issue with the lock function.
The relay can be replace with a bit of effort. The circuit board has a silicone like coating on it to protect the components from moisture. There are threads here on doing the repalcement.

ABS Fixer does door modules too in case you don't want to source the relays and do the soldering yourself.

Ok this tells us the linkage is working.
Now you need to check the power to the Solenoid in the door that actuates the lock open and closed. You need to see it is getting power both ways. If it is the solenoid is likely bad.
Between 2000-2008 GM has solenoid issues in many of their cars. Normally they die one direction.
I had to replace all 4 in my Malibu.
