Helping a fellow c5 corvette owner who rounded off all the brake line fittings at the ABS module on a early 1998 convertible. Any tips on how to reinstall the new brake lines from the front of the car to the ABS module would be helpful. Thanks
Use line wrenches this time? To take the old nuts off you can cut the line and use a socket.
Did you buy pre-bent lines from Inline Tube, or are you making them yourself? I'm entirely "re-lining" an '08 Elantra right now. I'm using the nickel copper bulk tubing from Inline Tube for brake and fuel lines. I use a bender for the tight bends but mostly bend the lines on the car to fit the OEM clips.
I suspect that he didn't use line wrenchs when he was removing the ABS module. He has purchased preformed brake lines, asking for any additional tips and advice to help him install the new lines.
