I replaced the shocks on my 98 convertible and now I get "shocks inoperable, can not exceed 80 mph" message on the DIC.. I bought aftermarket shock simulator resisters but they didn't work. Anybody have any advice ?

Contact the supplier of your simulators, tell them that their product didn't work, and send another set. Or, if you can get access to a Tech II scanner, you can "turn off" the F-45 suspension.
Your REAL TIME DAMPENING F-45 System is not happy for some reason. You must read the DTCs to see exactly what it complaining about and fix that/those issues..
YES,, As many above have eluded to, removing that worthless POS system electronically from your cars BCM, is the best war to go.
You need to find someone with a gm tech 2 that is willing to do it for you OR fix what it doesn't like at the moment. Remember, there are many more RTD components in your RTD System than just the shocks that can cause the system to error out and limit speed. .
Like mentioned previously, Post up where you live and see if someone who lives close and has the TECH-2 will do it for you.
