just ordered mini tub from xtreme motorsports, cant put 345/30/18or19 lots of modifying says mini tub only allows for a 335 tire on a 12 inch rim anything bigger cant do.dont let anybody tell you that you can.
I am telling you that you can. I have the LPE mini tub and am running 345/30/19s on the rear. Most of the LPE TT cars I have seen are running the exact same set up.
I agree...I'm running 345/35/18 Michelins on 18"x12" wheels(9.38" backspace). I only had to tub about 1 1/4". I used new stock liners...overlapped, bonded and pop riveted them together. Next tire will be the new BFG 345/30/18 DR.
Thanks for the links guys, does anyone know of where I can find shots of a coupe being tubbed, preferably with 345's and from a wider angle view to see just how the car would look from behind.

I'd love to see a good shot of that beast from behind where you could clearly see the full width of those tires!!
As an aside: I didn't look at what else you've done (enginewise), but could you give me a ballpark of how much more hp you think you can handle with 345's vs the stock 275's? Eg how much hp would make the car get traction similar to stock when running 345's. For example mild spin into 2nd under hard acceleration and an occasional chirp of third. I loved the look of the 345's I saw on cars when up at LPE, and would love that look..but I'm not wanting so much hp that I'm getting wild from 4th gear at 80mph or anything.
I run 335/30/18's on my 18x12 rear tubbed Z06.I believe the 345 should be no trouble. For sure call XTreme Nate and crew sell and install them and they can advise from there.Dave S.

Re: Mini tubs? (davidmax)
Can a stock Z06 rear rim be professionally fabricated and made wider to accomadate a huge tire on the type of minitub being discussed here? If yes, what is the approx cost to do this?
BQuickSilver, I can still store my top in back but I can't lock it in because the top doesn't fit in between the tubs anymore. Actually I use 2 bungy cords to lock the top in. You can also lock the top in if you buy or make some posts or pedistals that raise the black plastic holders up and over the tubs.
MTI 427 Roadster, you'll probably spend 2k all together for the tub kit with installation. :auto:
