Re: Mini tubs? (T-MAN)
Didn't you mean a 345/30/19 ? If so, I am also interested. I'd also like to know about max wheel size as I'm looking into 13" x 19" all inside the wheelwells. I think NoMercy has this setup. Any others? Benelliwang-Your Dr. friend has 345's doesn't he? Hopefully someone will step in soon as I have to order in the near future.
just ordered mini tub from xtreme motorsports, cant put 345/30/18or19 lots of modifying says mini tub only allows for a 335 tire on a 12 inch rim anything bigger cant do.dont let anybody tell you that you can.
I'd also like to know the offset and back spacing for 18x12s. :yesnod: I have the Forgelines off of my C4 that I could widen the rears to get 18x12. :D
93Polo- Iwas told that 18x12 with stock z06 offset results in 9.5" backspacing. On a Z06 vendors suggest reducing to 9 3/8' backspacing which changes offset by 1/8".Hope this helps.

That does not make sense  The whole point of tubing a car is to increase the back spacing.

I think he meens less backspacing than the Coupes. 9 3/8 bacspacing is almost the total width of a normal C5 rear wheel. I plan on adding the Z06 rear brakes ducts and own a FRC therefore am very curious about the reason for the change.
I helped mini tub my car last weekend. The whole interior was removed to protect it from the mess. Used a mini grinding wheel to cut in the new tubs. What a dusty mess. The mechanic who did most of the work said he wouldn't do it again for less than $2000 installed.
I've been considering this as well. I saw a few of them up at LPE, but i've forgotten how great they look. Can someone provide some photos of their finished work? I need inspiration.
