Speed Engineering Headers with stock H-pipe

If the H pipe that connect bank 1 & Bank 2 is 2 & 1/2" The holes between the pipes have been found to be the size of a Quarter. Several forum member have cut open the H Pipe and found torched Gouged jagged holes much smaller than the pipe that connects them. It has been found that the OEM H pipe is the cause or contributes to the Keys Jingling exhaust noise that owners have complained about in the C5s early life. There was even TSBs that addressed it back in the day.
GET AN X PIPE! PERIOD!
Funny thing,, That H, X Y, Q , O, W or Z, pipe wont add much if any HP/Tq . LOL. It also makes a big difference as to where the cross pipe is placed in the system. Sometimes where it needs to be is unable to be obtained. Its more there for balancing out the system and it makes more of a difference in exhaust note than anything.
The engine sees a little bigger exhaust system when you use some sort of balance pipe is used. . .
I'm no exhaust system engineer or expert but, its been talked about more than we can imagine in past forum post. The cross / balance pipe is there for a reason, Its just not a MAGIC PERFORMANC enhancer that going to make tons more power.
