As others have noted, no issues at all with C6Z shocks on an otherwise stock C5. I replaced the F45 suspension in my '99 with C6Z shocks and a C6 Z51 sway bar.
I don’t see any issue with shocks fitting with any sways. As far as c6z sways fitting a C5 I’d think they would be the same you would also need the c6z bushings.
Rear C6 Z bar is best used with AT LEAST 315 size rear tire.
Below, the C6 Z51 rear bar is a Much better fit.
I’m using the Steinjager with adjustable links on my personal car. I also have Viking coilovers.
That setup is working good with 19in 305s but I wish I still had my c5 z06 rear to swap in just to test.
I get a slight bit of understeer if I push it hard at Autocross. I have 18in 265s up front so going to switch to a wider front
I have a 2000 coupe with the base FE1 suspension. It's lowered on the factory bolts for looks. It's time to replace shocks and I keep seeing that the C6Z shocks are "better for lowered cars". I'm wondering if anyone here can comment on ride difference? My car is a daily commuter and doesn't see any track time. I am completely satisfied with the ride and performance of the FE1 suspension for my use and don't want a stiffer ride. Do just the shocks make a noticeable difference in the stiffness of the ride?
I just don't want to buy factory replacements if it's true that the lowered height will shorten the life.
