Did already, i have the first design flare fitting cooler held in with a thin wall stamped steel nut and the second design is a solid aluminum nut. Tom@dewitts mentioned to screw that stamped steel nut to the rad and should be able to work, i then tried and it doesnt thread …😐
I wouldnt want to change my oil lines since theyre good , i already ordered an adapter and will see if that does the job, if not im guessing they sent me the wrong radiator…
& yes i bought it directly from dewitts
I wouldn't want to change my transmission lines either, due to receiving the wrong part. But, how old are those lines? Do they have rubber sections? Would you feel comfortable driving around on 20+ year old radiator hoses, or tires, or engine belts, or wiper blades?
I would definitely want the correct radiator for the car but, I'd also seriously consider replacing the hoses while everything is apart. If not now, when ... when they are 30+ years old ... if they make it that far?
Rust is forever, not rubber.
Just sayin' ...
From the pictures I'd say the radiator was mislabeled and you got the (metric)1139001A, not (flare) 1139097A. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like. I also think the original radiator was replaced as you have an extra nut on the steel line and maybe an adapter in the radiator port. The fitting in your hand photo is a flare type and you can see the tappered end. The metric fitting and inside cooler is a larger port than the flare. It seals on a flat surface with a gasket seal in the bottom of the hole.
So, what you want to do is get a fitting that is M18 x1.5 metric male (with seal), that goes into the radiator.and can provide a way to adapt to a 37 degree flare tube fitting. Try Earls 961956 or

The Earls fitting 961947 in the post above is wrong. Don't use that one
