Decided to go with a dewitts radiator after doing my research alot of people recommend it.. i recently got my hands on it and installed it myself but my transmission lines wouldnt screw into the rad . Ive been looking thru the forum but cant find someone with the exact same problem as me, neither on youtube lol most videos on installing a dewitts rad have a manual vette. I got a 2000 automatic what exact fitting do i need
old radiator^
New radiator^
Your existing fittings are supposed to be 5/8-18 flare, or perhaps reverse flare - I get the nomenclature confused. I will bet money that if you give DeWitt a quick call they can tell you the exact fittings in the radiator quicker than others here can reply.
That said, it’s hard to imagine a “Direct Fit” radiator has fittings different from the OEM.
Did you read the website about the different fittings? Did you call Dewitt’s for an explanation about the problem you’re having? This is user error
Yes i did, called twice but no luck trying to get someone to help me said to leave a name and my phone number supposed theyre gonna be calling me . But no

im stuck here , ive got everything hooked up but the trans lines… they should provide the right fittings w the rad im not sure if anyone else has ran into the same issue as i am . Dewitts rad isnt cheap and i thought it would be a direct fit as mentioned in their website,

you need to go back and read the website about the trans lines hookups.
@John @ Dewitts can you help this guy out. He won’t wait for your phone call back.

I have a Dewitt's as well and it is direct fit(if you have the correct one), so you must have the wrong one. If you bought it from Dewitt's directly, they should be able to help you resolve. If you bought it somewhere else, then you'll have to deal with that seller.

I don't know the part number of mine, but I have the cut down one for the 01-04 Auto as my car is supercharged.
These screen grabs were taken from Dewitt's website. Seems like you need the other one possibly or change out the oil lines. Or buy an adapter -
You never answered, did you buy the rad from Dewitt's directly or some other source?

I wouldnt want to change my oil lines since theyre good , i already ordered an adapter and will see if that does the job, if not im guessing they sent me the wrong radiator…
