BCM programming expert sought: how to turn
I'm trying to change the lighting configuration on my European model C5. I would like to turn on the Daytime Running Lights which are "off" by default.
I've checked the wiring diagrams of the US and European models and they are the same. The famous ralais 38 and 40 are in place, too. So, the DRL function must be controlled by the BCM.
I've seeked through the settings with a TECH II but haven't found a suitable option. I've also tried to select a different origin on the TECH II to be able to access non-European options. Nothing worked.
Does anyone know how the country-specific settings on the C5 are being controlled by the BCM? How can they be changed (if at all)?
I know that other manufacturers (e.g. Ford) use generic BCM software around the globe and the region-specific options are just hidden in the diagnostic computer devices.
Thanks for your help,
