codes p0113 and p1111 -- a little help

codes p0113 and p1111 -- a little help
I'm getting these codes intermittently (and of course, as I'm trying to get the car inspected, and CT auto-fails if codes are thrown).
I know these relate to the air intake temp sensor -- Is this a common problem? What can I try and run down to fix this?

Both codes indicate an issue with the Intake air temp sensor. (IAT) circuit. Do the simple things first like checking your air filter then the connector at the IAT itself. Then remove the intake tube, get some Mass Air sensor cleaner. (DO NOT get throttle body or injector cleaner) and try cleaning it.
