Default Vibration / Clutch washer Question

I picked up an '04 a few weeks ago and I'm slowly but surely going through all the R&R items I need to note. One thing I have is vibration with the clutch pedal in and throughout the rep range. It's clearly on the engine side. I have records that show an LS7 clutch was installed in '19 with remote bleeder and all the bits. It has the ATI balancer as well - done in 2018. I've been reading about adding washers to the pressure plate and testing. In order to access the bell housing panel, I have to disconnect the headers.

When y'all talk about adding a washer and testing for vibration, I assume you're reattaching the headers and doing all the testing, then detaching them in order to access the outside bolts on the bell housing panel, correct?

It may seem like a silly question – I was thinking, "Holy crap, that would be a loud test with unbolted headers."

To clarify, your car has aftermarket headers, not stock exhaust manifolds with midpipe?

There's a good thread on hot balancing, which I was able to contribute to as well: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1604539030

My Z06 has stock exhaust manifolds and midpipe, so all I had to do was disconnect the midpipe from the manifolds and cat-back exhaust to remove the clutch inspection cover. Then reinstall midpipe and keep it that way for the whole hot balance procedure.(of course, remove again to reinstall clutch inspection cover)

I'm not sure how headers would affect your access but that would certainly add complexity to this process.
And yes, you'll want to reattach the exhaust system.
