Default PCV "ground" cable

I have changed my PCV to the LS6 version while also making my own 4 corner steam plumbing. I used ICT billet pieces on each corner with brass barbs. The issue is the ICT parts are held in place with a counterbored socket head screw, the hole is too small for the factory bolt/stud. This leaves me no way to attach the short cable piece that is part of the factory PCV valve. What exactly is the purpose of the cable and do I really need it? TIA

Found it is for temp control of the PCV valve itself.

Keeps the PCV valve from freezing due to the heat transfer from the cable…I see you’re in Florida…you probably don’t need it !!

I am moving back to Michigan, however I will not drive it when there is a chance of snow and more importantly salt on the roads. It have never seen either and I plan on keeping it that way.
