Default C5 dies, help!

I have a 2003 C5 base. The other day I took her out and when I got to a small incline water poured out on my left foot under the dash. Today I initially had a no start. After charging the battery a bit she lit up...and started for 2 seconds and died. What I observed. Low power-(limp mode) Fuel Gauge shows empty-she is not. Service Engine soon. I suspect this is the electricals/ fuel pump. Anyways she is now covered and wont get rained on anymore. Any ideas? I will provide updates. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you. Mike.

I’d start by pulling the lid off the passenger foot well and checking for water inside there. Driver’s side doesn’t get a lot of threads for water problems. If the passenger well is awash, then there are many threads on problems that can bring.

If there's water in the passengers foot well I'd start by checking the bladder under the cowl.

As previously advised you need to remove the passenger floor board and disconnect and remove the BCM and remove it's cover to check for water intrusion. Make sure you disconnect the negative battery cable beforehand.
