Is there a tool to disconnect the harness to power the door? Having a really hard time getting it disconnected to inspect the connectors, and it looks like there is exposed wires at the connector.. any ideas? Thanks
Perheiro,
Thank you for the reply. If I just need to push hard on that pin I think I can get it disconnected without a tool.
It's going to rain for a day or two so I will try when it stops raining. Your help is much appreciated.
The blue connector is for speakers only.
The bare wire is normal. It's a drain for the Bose system.
The black connector is power, ground, and serial data for everything else in the door.
C203 is the blue connector driver side.
C201 is the black connector driver side.
ThomasR,
That's awesome, thanks a lot for the info, now i know I need to focus on opening and cleaning the black connector.
I have codes:
A0-LDCM - No Comm
A1-RDCM - No Comm
no power to doors..
That's cool you're just like a half hour away. Do you have a place you take your vettes?
I was recently ripped off very badly by local mechanic.. and it still needs an alignment and a few other things.

Just clarifying based on you saying "no power to doors"......but you have not checked for 12 volts yet at the DCM connector?
One connector has socket/ female type contacts, over time and after hundreds of door openings and closing this contacts become loose. You can use a small blade screwdriver to bend those contacts back.
You can bend the terminals back into shape, or replace them, if you wish. I chose to remove the connector so the problem never comes back. Those connectors are there so the factory can fully build the door and test it on a work bench, then bring it to the car on the line and install it.
The problem. Solder and heat shrink the 6 wires and eliminate the black connector. I was able to work the accordion over the wires and completely into the door, giving myself room to work. Wrap with tape and pull the accordion out of the door. Permanent fix.

I do all my own work. I don't have the tools to do tires and alignments but I know a shop far away that does good work.
