There are three wires going to the power antenna of my '04 Vert....orange, drk green, black. According to the wiring diagram, orange is hot all the time, black is frame/ground/return and drk green is from the radio that supplies the relay coil current for up and down.
I have the power antenna on my work bench to replace the mast. I applied fused +12V to orange, negative/return to black...nothing happened. Added fused +12V to drk green....nothing happened.
The antenna motor worked fine when removed an hour earlier.
Are you testing it with the relay in the loop ? When I repaired my seat for the rocking, while it was out I hooked up 12v and it worked just fine forward and backward. Just a thought
According to the wiring diagram, the up/down relay is within the power antenna assembly, so yes the relay is in the loop, not able to bypass it unless I get onto the circuit board with test leads.
Nevermind....found the problem. The fuse was blown. Looked good, but when checked with a continuity checker, it was blown. I should have known.
Thanks.

When we bought our car it had a head unit with indash CD player which we replaced with a Sony BT CarPlay model that we appreciate very much. It also has FM that brings in a full range of stations with the antenna retracted. It’s still operational just unplugged though.
