Default PCV Issues

To those of y’all with catch cans can you confirm routing? I have an 02Z and following elite Engineerings chart, I have gone from valley pan to top of the catch can, and catch can to intake manifold. The PCV valve is supposed to flow into intake manifold, correct? I swear I installed correctly but a week later I noticed a large oil leak and it looks like pressure built up and blew out my valve cover gaskets, and I fear a leak at the oil pan as well.

He is definitely wrong and confused...and strangely over confident about it. Only the 04s had the fixed orifice valley cover / pcv system. 30 seconds on google will confirm.

I have a 2003 C5 Z06... behold:

Looks to me like an aftermarket PCV valve and for 01-03 should definitely be there. Not everyone buys thier parts from the Dealer

look closer, sir. He has an LS6 valley cover with internal valve. It SHOULD NOT be there.

moreover, even if it was a 2001 - 2003, it’s in the wrong place. 😂😂😂

LS6 PCV valve and part #, as you can see it is not part of the valley cover

youre killing me. Let me try and break this down for you:

Z06: ls6 valley cover has internal pcv. No external valve.

c5 2004: has ls6 valley cover. No external valve.

the photo above is an LS6 VALLEY COVER which has an internal valve. THUS, it should NOT have an external valve.

moreover, that valve is in the wrong spot. And it’s not attached to the long hose that goes around the entire motor if this was a 2001-2003 car which it’s clearly not.

you are wrong and confused.

Not all LS6 valley covers have an internal PCV valve. The parts diagram I posted IS from the LS6 section of the parts diagram for the 01-03 model years

The video you posted shows that there are 2 different LS6 valley covers

Okay, so yeah I’m confident I have it routed correctly but the direction of flow is the concern. I placed an external PCV inline with the intake manifold but I still blew my seals, so I’m very confused. I used one that was flared on both ends so I could use regular tubing. I can’t find any tubing for one of those PCV’s pictured. Does anyone have a source for getting that? This was my temporary “fix” that blew my crap up. Don’t mind the stupid plastic key on the clamp. You can also see my valve cover gasket popping out.

it’s well routed but you missed the the pcv valve on the hose that goes in the intake manifold
