Thanks beforehand to any help anyone can offer. Am beginning resurrecting a 58 that is mostly gutted and hasn't seen light of day for a very long time. Was given earlier today a pair of C5 seats. The upholstery is average or a little less but the frames are solid. I don't have a clue what I'm looking at though nor do I have any idea what is missing. If someone with any familiarity can suggest whether what I've got here are good donor parts to start from or if, alternatively, they are missing so much they are not cost effective to work from I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.
There is a little text and a few arrows I've added in the pics to hopefully help with the questions.
And pardon the typos in the text added to the images. Wasn't paying enough attention. Each seat has a view farther away and one zoomed in a bit. Since I've no clue what is missing or not figured it couldn't hurt to have both. Thanks again.
Thank you but unfortunately upon checking that thread got mostly link or other file errors.
Have found what I believe to be the switches (LH and RH the same) on eBay and Amazon but nothing in the seats I now have would connect to those switches. Some more digging on eBay has shown harnesses like what is attached here. I think I'm seeing connectors that would mate to the pair currently doing nothing on each of my seats. I'm also seeing on the eBay harness what I thing would be connector to the switch. But I'm also seeing new connectors that would still go nowhere (at least with the parts I've got). So I still don't know if I'm missing more than just a harness that connects to the switch or how much else I'd have to find to use these seats. Concern currently is just if chasing parts to use these seats is a cost effective option; or if I should cut my losses now? As mentioned previously these seats are not a money pit (yet). Would love to use them if I could. But also don't have to be heartbroken if I cannot.
Where are you located? I have most all electronic parts that you would need to get both seats functioning.
From what is shown in the pictures you will need the following;

These seats may also need the rocking seat fix, replacement of the bushings in the seat track screws.
Gary
I'm in southwest Missouri. A buddy is sending a box with a few spare parts he had leftover from an old project. Supposedly a passenger seat harness, at least one switch (interchangeable side to side ?), a LH bezel, and the release handles. He also described some missing modules (not incoming) but also described memory versus non memory options. Since these seats would be going in a mid 60s project the memory option is irrelevant to me.
I appreciate the shopping list of what I might need to make these donor seats work. Please feel free to let me know an idea on costs and a list of what I'll need. After the other parts the buddy is sending get here in a couple days I'll post pics of those too so what I've actually got can be confirmed.
Okay then, quite the project. Get all of the parts Gary suggested and mock the seat up on the bench. I'm not sure that even with the SCM that all of the functions will work as a stand-alone, but you should be able to get the basic adjustment functions to work.

The goal is limited to that. Basic seat adjustments in a seat that is at least moderately comfortable and good looking. Have seen examples of C5 seats as donors in old Chevelles and Camaros and even one (say it isn't so) Ford Galaxy. So at least basic adjustment functions have to be do-able. I just have to collect enough parts to get there (he says optimistically).
