gear question....
i have an a4 with 2.73 gears.....for performance issues, should i get a stall converter or should i just upgrade to higher gears.....if i should get gears, what kind????......anyone know pricing??>.....thanks

You will really need at least a 3.42. with that you can go anywhere between a 2400 stall to a 3500 depending on what you use the car for. I would budget around 700 to $1000 to get you into a 3.42 installed and add about $900 for a good converter and a few hundred to get it programmed. After all that it will feel like a totally different car.. :seeya

I have 3.42 gears and SY3500 on my A4. Do a search and you'll see that this combo is by far the one utilized by the A4 guys.
The gears will cost you about 1k new and the TC will run around 875. You'll need LS1 edit as well which will add around 500 to the cost.
