Mine is a bit faster, with just MTI ram air, and A&A exhaust mod, with power programmer, it ran 12.85. Now it has ran a 12.82(hitting rev limiter on 1-2 shift), With an adjustment of the shift point to keep from hitting rev limiter, it should run 12.7, but now i have the ls6 intake and pulley
DO YOU THINK THE PULEY IS WORTHTHE CASH....WILLL LS1 TUNING GET ME INTO THE 12'S
I would not install a pulley if I was not also installing a new cam. IMHO the pulley alone is too much money in labor for too little gain. With a PT2800 and 3.15 gears you should be in the 12s. But if I were you I would go for 3.42s, they will give you an extra .2 in the 1/4 mile plus they will give you better driveability with the PT2800. LS1 tuning can't hurt your cars performance but depending on how much you are paying for it the gain in performance might not be worth the cost on a stock engine.
The f-body's are definately quick. I've surprised a few Vette owner since I bought mine . With 2.73's, SLP Lid, SLP Ram Air and an SLP catback, I got my 98 Z28 to run consistant 13.0's. Going to a 3.73 has dropped me to a 12.7 (on a hot day with horrible traction). My buddy did 13.7 stock in his 97 C5 with 2.73's. I did 13.6 stock in the Camaro with 2.73's. Much faster than I thought with those gears.
I'm still going to trade it all in for a C5 this year though.
I had a 99A4 coupe with vortex, corsa indy's, bassani xpipe, PLII. Before mods, ran 13.99@102. After mods, ran best of 13.00@109. Just couldn't get into the 12's until I got my 01 Z06! :skep: Guess I'm just a crappy driver!
I got my '01 with 2.73s to a best of 12.99@108. I got sick of being whooped on by everyone that I upgraded gears and TC. Times are in my sig, I haven't run since the 3.73s but when I do I hope to hit lowwwww12s. My best 60-foot was 1.94 on runcraps(the little bit of spin helped I guess!) and I got consistent 1.99-2.05 on drag radials. Hope this helps...
I was running a cut stock airbox(it was barely even a lid anymore!), 160 t-stat, SLP Loudmouth(LONG gone now!), and a 2.4 K ohm resitor in place of the MAT.
Just a point of interest..2.73's and the word performance don't go together..because there is no performance with 2.73's....!  :lolg: :lolg:   I crack myself up.. :hurray:
would you go 3.15 already in garage, or 3.42 , 3.73. :chevy
Depends on your intentions..you just want good street performance on street tires keep the 3.15's save your money and go with a Transgo shift kit and a Yank 3000 Torque converter!! :yesnod: Otherwise 3.42's/3.73's and a Transgo shift kit and a SS3600/SS3800 will give you incredible performance at the track.. :yesnod: Then your only problem will be Traction!! Gonna need some Drag radials to keep you in a straight line..
Check out videos on my homepage..Maybe they will give you some ideas  Good Luck..Mod on :chevy
