Heads/Cam Package Vendors PLEASE READ

You can check out most of the tuner sponsors websites for info and call to get a better feel for who you are/may be working with. There are several different combos that I could put together as far as driving style, daily driveability, power desired and budget as I am sure most of the supporting tuners here can also. There is not a one package fits all to say the least. Each has a little give and take. I usually try to get one of my potential customers a ride in a car I have done if possible as it works much better than describing a feel to them. Much better with a hands on experience. One mans "perfect daily driver" is another mans "nightmare in traffic". Horsepower does sell for the most part as it is the most eye catching for sure. You can also get loaded down with info on this to say the least as opinions will vary from one person to another. References always help also.
Horsepower can range from a mild 375RWHP (A4) to wild 450+RWHP (LS6 M6) with pricing from $3995 for a basic heads/cam package to around $10K for a complete package with a torque converter for an A4 C5.
Feel free to call or e-mail me if you have any questions.

I can only recommend who I use and that is The Vette Doctor's. I live in Southern NJ and it is about 2 hours north of me. Pick a nice warm winter day and take a nice ride north and evaluate the shops you are considering. Meet the owners and get comfortable with which you are developing a partnership.
Here are some recipes to consider when you are making your C5 transformation regardless of the tuner you pick:
Pick the whole package and get it done right. Evaluate if you would like a TRUE H/C package which only modifies the Heads, push rods and cam (I'm guessing 3 to 5K and 400 - 440RWHP and 400RWTQ) or a HYBRID H/C package that requires the LS6 head casting and modified/new pistons, rings, rods/pins. The later will produce the "big" number H/C numbers (I'm guessing 6 to 10K 440 to 470RWHP 420+RWTQ).
If you are looking for more torque, consider the ultimate LS1 package a big bore and stroke motor. The 4.00 stroke seems to be very reliable. This will produce 400+cu in and 490+RWHP/RWTQ and cost 15 to 20K, I'm guessing. You could always bump up the compression ratio and add a roller setup and push these babies into the low 500's!
Of course all the other accessories must be added to build the ultimate C5. They include upgraded rear (3.73, 3.90 or 4.10 with Hardened axles), improved clutch (McLeod Dual Disk), HD M6 (Vette Doctors), headers/exhaust (TPIS), Roll bar (Wolf/custom), safety equipment (Helmet, fire jacket and 5 point harness) and off course CCW's Skinny and ET Street setup.
Once you pick from the above "A La Carte" Menu you are good to go!!!
Hope this helps and good luck with your decision
