I had gotten p1120p1220 p1221 p1571 reduced engine power and I used my scan tool to check the volts and percentages on the tp sensors and the percentages and volts of the app sensor when pressing on the accelerator peddle and I wasn't getting any volts or anything just on the tp sensor and so I replaced it and not with a cheap tp sensor... I got the OEM replacement and it wasn't cheap and I am only getting numbers and percentages on tp sensor #1 and nothing from tp sensor #2 .... Also I am able to rev up motor when pressing gas pedal but when I have the brake pedal pushed in and also press in the accelerator pedal the motor does not rise in rpms or rev up like it normally would but as soon as I take my foot off the brake pedal with my other foot on the gas pedal still it will then rise in rpms like as if I was to rev up ... Does that have anything to do with what's going on... I also posted some notes I took from the obd scanner for anyone that knows what's what and can please help me get this car fix cause it's got me messed up and I don't know how much more electrical random bs I can or want to have in my f'd up world
The TPS sensor is basically 2 simple potentiometers…each TPS has a 5 volt reference, a signal and ground…to test unplug the connector and with Key On see if you have 5 volts on the yellow/black and with a test light connected to B+ see if test light illuminates when probing the white wire (ground)…to check the signal wire jump the 5 volt reference to the signal wire (pink)…with your scan tool see if TPS 2 reads 5 volts…if you do the signal wire is good !!
