Ok so pulling the balancer off today crank bolt came out no problem but damn, broke the first two bolts loose and the third one stripped. Any thoughts? And yes I was using the T40 plus bit.
Cut a slot in it for a straight screwdriver.
Heat the fastener to get the loc-tite to release.
Turn the fastener out.
You could drill it and use an extractor.
Or just remove the whole head via drill or other cutting tool, pull the damper apart, then twist the part of the bolt that is now sticking out with vice grips or something similar.

What is the goal here rebuild or replace? If rebuild, I understand trying to remove the screws....but do not understand removing the crank bolt. . If you intend to remove/replace, why are you removing the screws?

I am removing to install a cam, the puller requires the bolts to be removed so I can install bolts through the puller to remove it.
So talking with ATI tech support they told me that the first set of bolts go directly to the hub, the middle goes to the AC pulley behind but you have to spin it to find the proper 5/16x18 threads, the third is to remove the outer layer only.
that being said had to weld a nut to the stripped head to get it out.
