Default CAGS solenoid thread pattern and questions

Can someone confirm if the CAGS solenoid thread pattern is M20x1.5? Secondly, how much transmission fluid is up there and can I jam a temperature sensor into the opening without causing any issues?

Awesome, thanks for confirming! I searched high and low for that info. Solenoid will be removed tonight and replaced with a temperature sensor (I know the location is not ideal, but this is temporary)

Sorry, your information is correct, M20x1.5, which is the thread pitch of the Subaru oil drain plug I used. I think you will get quite a delay and or offset in your temp readings in this location, as I guess there is only a limited oil mist from the gears in this location.

I've corrected my first reply, in case others read this thread.

Yea figured the reading wouldn't be accurate, but I wanted a temporary solution until I got the proper 6AN adapter for my cooler set up. In any case, turns out the adapter I have on hand is 1/2x1.1.25 or something, so it didn't fit. Guess I'll be ordering the correct adapter plus a plug for when I remove the solenoid altogether. Thanks for the help!
