Transmission issues
Helping someone out with there 2004 C5. What its doing is when under full throttle in second gear, when get to about 5000 rpms it seems to pop out of gear. Here is the thing, the shifter dosent move. If you let off and get back in it its still in second. And sometimes when it happens the clutch pedal will feel soft. Just wondering if someone else has seen this problem before.

Sounds like the clutch is letting go. 5k is right above the torque peak of the engine. I have this problem w/ my C4 that makes a bit north of 500 wheel. Any other gear is fine but when the clutch gets hot I can bank on it letting go around 4500 rpm so I just grab 3rd.
