Default Performance concerns new wheel/tire setup.

Hey! Looking to get new wheels and tires. I want to do a staggered setup, 18’s in front 19’s in the rear. Im not familiar with how these changes can affect the performance if it does at all. If anyone has any knowledge on the “best” set-up it would be appreciated!

No performance concerns here, your choice of rubber will net you more performance or less performance, and the wider the tire, the more it will feel planted in the twisties. The weight of the wheel and tire will hence performance, but not noticeable unless your a pro driver. I think wider tires look better.

I remember when I went from good year run craps to Bridgestone potenza sports, and I noticed a difference at a road course. I was able to go at least 3 mph faster in every corner, and I’m a newb driver.

I’ve never used run flats again. I’ve used many brands of street rubber, except Michelin, and they all grip relatively the same. So, your performance gains will probably be from going to some wider rubber.

im on 275 35 18 front
305 30 19 rear.

Sorry, black wheels don’t stand out, bad picture, wheels are in the shade.

There is no "best" set-up for all scenarios but we can help you find what you may want. The biggest limitation is the cost as many people have grandiose ideas but aren't willing to spend what it takes.
