quest for 12's
with the mods that are posted what can i do to reach the 12'S i have pt2800,and 3.15's waiting on the garage floor for install in march, but can't wait that long. maybe tuning, or headers,etc. please help.... :chevy

E i have been to 3 racetracks saME OLD S/// 2.03 60 foot, 13.002, 13.011,13.013 13. 13 ??????????????????????new run flats on rear no spinning. :confused:

Buy a set of drag radials and lower the air pressure to 15 pounds. I have hit 12.91 twice, once in a 00 coupe and again in an 02 vert. You can see my mods in my sig. Nothing exotic. Just work on your wheelspin and shift points. I have found that I go faster when I don't wait too long to shift. Peak horse power is not redline. I have done this with an MN6 both times. I'm guessing you should be able to do much better with your A4 (no clutch, no missed gears, etc.)

C C looks like we have the same mph but u have faster e.t., i have no wheel spin most off the time track is well prep,each time i go 13.002 or 13.011 0 tire spin, don't think drag radials are needed yet . what else could it be... maybe poor drive n. i shift at 5900. maybe i should just let it shift itself. :chevy

A small 75-100 hp shot of juice will wake her up.Also I would before installing the 3:15's see if you can swap up to a 3:42 I thinl the increase in Tqe. Multiplication would make you very happy.Good Luck Dave S. Xtreme

You should be able to spin the tires like crazy on street tires with a 2800 stall converter.
With a 2800 stall converter and 3.42s you should be 60'ing high 1.7 low 1.8 but street tires may not be able to do that for you.

Opps my bad.
The tuning should help you get there especially with change in shift points a little higher.
Headers will help also but you probably also want to do the tuning then too.

WHAT KIND OF HEADERS , I AM NOT PLANNING ON CAM AND HEADS,LS1 EDIT OR ANOTHER TUNE, WHAT DO YOU THINK. HEADERS AND EDIT WILL I GET MAYBE .2 OR .3 ...THANKS FOR INFO.
