Default Changing brake fluid after fixing ECBM

I own a 2002 C5 and my ecbm is shot. This weekend im going to rip it out and resolder it, is it necessary for me to flush and fill with new brake fluid or am i good with the original? If you have any advice on doing the job please let me know.

Those are two separate jobs, do the EBCM first.
Allow yourself plenty of time
The job is much easier with a wife helping.
Use a plastic tool to pop the main wiring connector loose.
Don't damage the mounting o ring as they are no longer available.
Search threads here for good write ups and pictures.

Thank you for the advice, i heard from a buddy that i should replace the fluid if im doing the ebcm but i wasnt sure if i really had to, im assuming the o ring you’re referring to is the seal that goes to the bpmv?

0pps mine still stock from 1999. and my 1999 rav. What are the systems if the fluid is going bad?? My cars has no issues with stopping. Are they just going to give out unexpectedly?? I can see racers to keep the fluid up to par because of heat issues but for the street?? I think it's like my lawn mower just something u don't think about , for me anyway. All my friends cars from the 90s that still have their cars their brakes seem to work just fine. I dont know how the brake fluid works in the c5. Maybe its a special system then other vehicles which that would make sense.??

Have the risk of getting water stuck in your lines, i would recommend you do. It can make braking less consistent or just that stiff feeling and wont brake as hard, but IMHO it is tedious to do alone but its worth the peace of mind.
