GMS mass air sensor
I have had a GMS mass air sensor on my car for a while. I tried the stock mass air electronics with the bigger GMS plastic ends just to see what the results would be. I expected the car to run a bit more lean. I was shocked to see that the car was running with LTFT at 24%. So, I put the GMS electronics back on with the bigger ends that it came with. LTFT went back to -1.2% through out the RPM range at part throttle. This sensor is supposed to be calibrated for a conical filter, which I use (Donaldson). I guess the mass air sensor is dialed in pretty well, and I would recommend it to anyone using the Donandson or similar air filter set up. :D

LTFT is the Long Term Fuel Trim that the computer is adjusting to obtain 14.7 A/F ratio. LTFT showing 0 would indicate that the computer calibration is dialed in perfestly. This is one of the things you monitor when using a scanner.
