So the tinted option is what im trying to find better pics of to get a good idea of how light/dark of a tint it is. I dont think the super blacked out look would look right on my black Vette and i dont want to spend 500$ to get it and find that its to dark for the look that im shooting for. Ive seen the g3’s smoked and in person and they weren't too dark looking so i really like them. But the INFIRAI lights are pretty bad looking too, just x2 the price
This is the only picture I have right now. They are smoked but still have a red hue.

Awesome Thanks. They look good on your car. The lens are plastic right? Or Glass?

The lenses are not glass and the smoked finish is painted on, that's why it takes 2-3 weeks longer for production than the red lenses. They are plastic or whatever polymer they use for tail light lenses. Similar material as my Laser and Halo tail lenses.

Hey jdm!

I was just about to order a set of these tail lights from VetteLights with the Labor Day sale they have going right now, I'm on the fence between the Red or the new Tinted/Clear version. I also have the TigerShark rear bumper (I think you and I have chatted over in the FB groups a few times about the "custom" reverse lights we both came up with for the TS bumper lol). Anyways, install on these lights look like a breeze, but how the heck are we supposed to remove the lights from the TS bumper without the access hole behind the OEM license plate garnish?? Is there a way to pop the tail lights out from the front? I would really like to avoid cutting a hole in my bumper!

I was just thinking about that but held off from placing the order for now and emailed Cole asking him the same question so I should hear back from him tomorrow. If you have any first-hand experience with a solution, I would love to hear some ideas. I don't want to damage the lenses or my bumper the first time I go to change the mode on these $500 tail lights!

unfortunately, this was the only way i could come up to do this, short of pulling off the rear bumper and installing them that way:

the good news is that i have seen no issues with having a big hole behind the license plate

i honestly think you should hold off on buying these tails since you have a TS rear. they don't fit "perfect" with my car. they are made to be mounted recessed in an OEM rear bumper. our TS bumper tail lights are flush and with that, the mounting of the inferrari tails will show some of the upper portion of the housing which would normally be hidden in the recess cavity of the OEM bumper.

my car looks fine from the pics i've posted but up close, the final fit is obvious.

i have recently placed an order for the HGI infinity tails which utilize a different mounting system and do not appear to have the same physical features on the upper portion of the housing as the inferrari. i have my fingers crossed that these HGI tails will be a better fit for a TS bumper. i'm still patiently waiting for a shipment notice; will post details whenever i receive them.

I appreciate the transparency, and I think I might hold off on purchasing them for the moment. Glad I hopped on the forums and found your post, you are one of the few of us TS owners who actively engages in the forums so it's always good to run into you.

I saw your other post about the HGI tails, I was looking at those too. I watched the install video SJ posted YT and it seems that it's a similar story as the InFerrari tails, and that I would need to cut through my rear bumper lol

One other thing about the HGI tails, not sure how I feel about permanently drilling out larger mounting hold for the studs, which eliminates the ability to use the stock tail light mounting screws again in the future. Looks like I might be stuck with the VetteLights G3 Laser tails as my only option of any interest
