I've had my car for over a year now and have only managed to make it to the track once and got rained out. I'm just curious what it will turn in the 1/4 with the few bolt-ons I've added. I know tracks, conditions and driver ability play a lot in this, but for those of you that have the same setup I'm running, what are your best times?
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (Bertrand)
Low 13s or a break into the 12s if you launch just right. You will really have to work for 12s at most tracks with your setup.
:seeya
:iagree: ......weather will play a HUGE factor and you might benefit from some AFR tuning but low 13s for sure..........dip into the 12s, possibly
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (Mean Green 2000)
Hey....I just saw you were in Jacksonville :D
Keep a close eye on the SE section and we like to hit the track fairly often.....Gainesville is getting a good following and that's not too far for you and we run once a month in Bradenton
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (Un4given)
You got a chance in the 12's with some traction.Get some DR's for consistency!!:yesnod:
Unfortunately from that point it gets more and more expensive to go faster! Each tenth get's harder to accomplish and then before you know it your a MODAHOLIC! :yesnod: :lolg:
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (Un4given)
Thanks for replies everyone. That's about what I was thinking. Maybe real high 12's to low 13's. I'll keep watch for another Gatornational Track run. I wanted to go this time, but work and a new baby at home has kind of kept me grounded the last few months.
Billjax, I hit the cruise-in on Saturday night sometimes, but it has been a while. Maybe I'll see you there one evening. :yesnod:
Thanks and hope to see some of you at a track real soon.
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (Un4given)
I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF 6 SPEED CAR RUN 12.70'S WITH DRAG RADIALS WITH YOUR SET UP. MOST WITH RUN FLATS RUN 13.00 TO 13.10, TIRES MAKE THE CAR WORK.IF YOU WANT HIGH 12'S D/R ARE A MUST WITH SIX SPEED.
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (Un4given)
I've got a 99 FRC that's all stock except for a Veraram, and non run-flat F1's (34# fr., 28# rr.). I recently purchased this car, and have no prior experience driving a high-performance stick shift car...so I'm sure my times will improve with a little more experience. I have thus far made only 11 passes in the car, but I've already run a couple of 12.7's @ 111mph.
My FRC might be slightly lighter than your car, but your 2002 has the better LS6 intake, and you've got aftermarket exhaust...so, I'd think you ought to be able to run at least as fast as me. I'd say you probably have the potential to run 12.5's.
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (MC TORCH RED)
slowest pass: 13.335 @ 110.28 w/ 2.351 60'
next pass: 13.081 @ 111.06 w/ 2.226 60'
next pass: 13.025 @ 109.76 w/ 2.113 60'
(mph low on that pass because I tried short shifting @ 5800rpm)
next pass: 12.734 @ 111.56 w/ 2.000 60'
next pass: 12.769 @ 111.98 w/ 2.079 60'
it's got a 12.5 in it if I can get the perfect launch
edit: These were the passes with the Veraram. I went to the track another time when the car was bone stock...some of those passes are almost too embarassing to post. (Ranged from 14.3 - 13.7) Like I said, I'm brand new to racing a stick shift car, so I had to go through a bit of a learning curve.
Re: Estimated 1/4 E.T. with my bolt-ons (Un4given)
running stock tires isn't even fun. The drag racing experience is just so much more enjoyable when you at least have some DRs.
I drive my track only 17x11 zr1s with 315/35 bfg's 90 miles round trip when I race. Very versatile. They do diminish some of the trap speed as compared to running the stock F1s, but the 60ft factor is greatly improved. :D

Hey man!
You missed the perfect day at Winter jam. You could have made back to back runs at Gainesville. I only made 4 runs due to several issues but each time got faster. Some people made 15+ runs.
Best run: 12.925 at 110.06
Next time your near my office stop in and I will show you the slip and rub it in about the great track day you missed.
