Default Gradual C5 Corvette Overheating problem

Hello Everyone,
I have recently acquired a C5 Corvette as a project car and was wondering if anyone had input to help on my current problem. The car runs and drives perfectly for about a good 30-40 mins depending on driving conditions but as we drive the trans fluid temp slowly begins to creep up until it gets to the 240 degree range where I get to nervous to drive the car and shut it off. I didn’t know about this issue at all until three weeks ago where I got a high trans temp warning on the freeway. The only thing that cools it down is turning the car off or sitting still.

So let me get to the majority of the issue. I replaced Trans Fluid, installed an aftermarket trans cooler, and new radiator.

The Corvette had a rebuilt transmission by AAMCO before I purchased it. Where they did these things to it.

New Master Banner Assembly
New Filter (8)
New Band (8)
Reconditioned Torque Convertor
Reconditioned Stock Exchange Valve Body Complete with Solenoids

This was done in 2020 but it’s only been driven maybe 9k miles since then.

Any Advice/Ideas would greatly help!
and obviously this is a 4L60E…

Make sure your trans fluid level is full by checking the level when it is hot and the engine running. it could be slipping and heating the fluid

This, also I would check the trans cooler that was added and make sure it was installed correctly! with an external trans cooler, you should not be seeing 220 degrees. If the fluid is low as ncali mentions, that could be a cause. Make sure you have the trans up to the correct temp to check it. You need to have the car on a lift or jack stands (LEVEL GROUND) to get to the fill/check port on the side of the trans. The spec calls for the trans fluid temp to be at 86-122 degrees F when you check it.
If when the external cooler was added and they did not check/fill the trans correctly, that could be your issue and then lastly, verify they have the external cooler installed correctly. Also, how clean are your radiator and cooler? If they are dirty that will affect how well, they can cool.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE ENGINE up to temp and motor running to CHECK THE TRANS FLUID. Make sure you do this right!
