Default Just had a BM lastnight

I mean I just installed the B&M Ripper shifter last nite!
There I was armed with my new shifter that I had bought from cenders on the forum (Great deal by-the-way. Thanks Chris)and the instructions from the Tech Tips section. At this time I must say I have a third grade education and am not mechanically inclined. SOOO of I go with a great deal of self doubt.
Oddly enough all was going well, the inst. and pics were very useful and right on! BUT !! I hope someone edits the inst. to point out that there are TWO T15 torx head screws by the ash tray. no mention was made of either of them! I saw the one next to the lighter but because I don't smoke never thought of one being behind the removable ash tray! Well to make a sad story short I did get the trim piece of at the expense of the hidden screw. No real damage, just a big "DUFUSS"sigh. After that eveything went smooth. Got the new shifter in and even got the trim piece back in without injuring myself.
Took the "VETTE" out for a test drive and can't believe the difference.
Yes it is alittle stiffer to shift but thats OK I just have to adjust to it. It's still notchy but I guess thats just the tranny. The shift **** rattles so I'm not sure if I need a different **** or just tighten it some more. Any suggestions?
Anyway I and the car survived and maybe are even alittle better for it.
Thanks to all the forum members for sharing their knowledge and spare parts.
Now on to those screen mods!!

Kelly
