Default Aftermarket head unit wiring

Hey guys, I have a 2001 corvette and am wanting to install an aftermarket head unit, with carplay. from what i’ve gathered i have to find an accessory power source to power the head unit. When searching in my passenger footwell area i found this

it seems to be a power wire tapped into fuse #10

Is this safe to use to power my aftermarket head unit? I also found numerous sub wire routed to the rear storage compartments along with a bass adjustment **** in the driver side footwell. My main question is can i use the yellow power wire to power my head unit ? what will happen if a short occurs?
