The single disc cd player eject button on my stock 2000 quit working today. Any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just continue to try it. my 97 kept spitting the cd back out and I kept putting it back in. after about 10 tries it worked again. might work,might not

A cd is in the player. it plays but when i hit eject button nothing happens!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a butter knife and slip it inside the slot, then get it under the cd and gently pry up on it while pressing the eject button. Had the same thing happen on our escape

Posts 2 & 4 are probably your best shot at getting the cd back intact.

There is a whole section on car audio here that can help you install a modern system.
CDs are mostly pointless today when you can carry hundreds of hours worth of music on your phone or an SDXC card and play it at will.

Took radio completely out and took top off of radio. Still can't figure out how to get disc out. Would like to keep the disc and would like to keep original radio.
