C5 Window Positioning
I have been dealing with wind noise and occasional leaks from both windows of my 2002 Corvette for the better part of a year and I cannot figure out how to adjust them properly. The wind noise comes from where the window meets the weatherstrip of the targa roof as well as the A pillar. Both sides of the targa weatherstripping have been replaced with OEM GM rubber. I have tried adjusting both tip in, window position forward and back, as well as window position up and down. I do not want to adjust the tip in too far as I have read it puts undue stress on the window and the weatherstripping, and can cause leaks as well. Even in the service manual I cannot find any solid answer on how to position and install the windows, so I am turning to the wisdom of the forum members. Are there any strategies or tips to prevent wind noise and water leaks coming from the top of the C5 window where it meets the targa top rubber.
